My Journey of Health & Heart

My Motivation

I wanted to share some snip its from some e-mails that I have received from various people who have found my blog. All of these e-mails give me so much more motivation to put myself out there even more. It makes me so sad that people all over the world are suffering quietly with keloids. I want to be there for each and every one of them. I not only want them to know that they are not alone, but that with the right doctor and method, they can find relief.

"I was going to tell you, I have purchased soooooooooooo MANY creams, oils, ointments to help my keloids over the years. It's sad. Nothing has ever helped. My parents are Middle Eastern so they are true believers in homeopathic medicine and herbal meds, they have tried to buy me countless creams from overseas to help with my keloids and nothing ever helped. Sure, some creams softened my keloids a bit, but never removed them completely."

"It's super admirable how you are taking a stand and getting this condition out there, not many of us with condition could do that, it's hard. I am so self conscious of my own keloids - haven't worn a tank top in years :( I hope dermatologists or plastic surgeons come out with a way to cure keloids."

"I got your email off of your blog, and I just wanted to say OMG thank you so much for starting your blog! I finally don't feel so alone. I have been struggling with keloids since I was about 12 due to some acne on my shoulders which have turned into painful keloids."

"Thank you, :') your words are beautiful. You are an inspiration for me it is almost hard to get up courage to wear short sleeyes ves or shirts because with keloids I have more than 50 not as big but they are all big :/ they cause me to be self concsious"

"This second scar has been my problem child, finding shirts and dresses that aren't cut low is nearly impossible (and really frustrating).  I finally gave up on going to dermatologists a few years ago because they only offered me steroid shots, surgery, or laser treatments.  Surgery and lasers were out, so I just put dealing with it on the back burner."

"Thanks so much!! It is sooo comforting to know we're not alone isn't it!?? Also, makes your heart sink a bit (or a lot) when you lose sight of that hope...when the reality hits that there's no sure cure!"

Although we are all so different, we are all the same. We all want to feel good about out ourselves and be free from pain.

If anyone is willing to share some pictures, I would love to share them on my blog! You don't have to show your face, just your keloid.... :)
